Looking forward to your new book on sailing..... loved Force of Nature. You have a gift with words....and my new favorite snack is dried mangos and pecans! LOL!! Take care!
I love the sailing story - but I'm a sailor (and racer), so I am THERE with you on the starting line. I'm wondering if it works for non-sailors - but I think your descriptions are so well done that even non-sailors can feel the thrill at barging on the line and making the crossing at the horn! Great job!
And, I'm so glad you enlightened us on the story of the Force of Nature cover. I've studied it several times, perused your photos on your website, and was trying to figure out who would have taken it for you - especially with your camera debacle! The composite is SO well done! BRAVO!
Re the book clubs, I just joined one and some time in the next 12 months I hope to have you talk to our group. I talked to a girlfriend who was at your most recent book club talk at LOP and she couldn't say enough good things. I was NOT surprised!
Bottomline - I love your blog! And seeing the photos from trails I've just hiked too - icing on the cake!
Thank you, Nancy! I've always loved book clubs! Some are serious and focus intently on the book and prepared discussion questions. Others are much more casual, discussing the book whilst eating and bringing up other topics, too.

Thank you, Debbie!! Dried mangoes and pecans are the bomb! Happy trails!

Thanks 😊 Joan
Interested to hear about how the sailing story fits into the broader narrative!
Me, too! Currently, it's something that stuck on the wall when I threw it. It was fun to write, though.
Don’t stop now. . . . The race has just begun and I hope that’s true for the book, too. Seems time for the next installment right now. What say you?
